Through guided writing prompts you will be encouraged to discover more about your goals, dreams, and visions. No writing experience necessary. Just come ready for fun, exploration, and self-discovery! The writing prompts intend to encourage you to think about past experiences and accomplishments and how they relate to your future goals. After writing, you’ll incorporate some of your thoughts and ideas into a visual presentation through collage. This can either honor your past or help you visualize ideas and plans for your future. Or both! Feel free to bring photocopies of any photographs that you’d like to include in your collage. We’ll also use magazine images, paper, etc. (materials provided)

Monica J. Brown explores memory, history and personal mythology through visual art, sound, movement, writing and performance. Her visual art has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
