Overview

The Meals Ministry, as part of Fourth Presbyterian Church’s mission outreach, provides nutritious meals and welcoming hospitality to neighbors in need currently through three major programs and smaller partnerships.

The Meals Ministry Part-time Assistant is responsible for working with the volunteers who handle most of the day-to-day program operations. The Meals Ministry part-time assistant is responsible for supporting and facilitating those operations, particularly with respect to administrative and program activities.

This rewarding position requires energy, ingenuity, and empathy in working with multiple constituencies, including volunteers, guests, church staff, donors, vendors, and partner agencies.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities

• Fourth Presbyterian Church’s office is located in downtown Chicago.
